Each party meets individually for an intake interview prior to mediation. General information is gathered and you will have an opportunity to share your perspective and wishes.

3. Meeting Together

The parties meet jointly for the remainder of the mediation to negotiate the terms of the agreement.

4. Memo of Understanding

We create a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to document what you have agreed during mediation. This can be transferred into a Separation Agreement

5. Document Review

Both parties attend a final mediation session where the document is reviewed for accuracy and completeness. Changes can still be made at this session.

6. Separation Agreement

After mediation, the parties may convert their document into a Separation Agreement, sign it and witness it or take the document to their lawyers for Independent Legal Advice.
